Red Light Therapy for Hearing Loss & Tinnitus

A systematic review of 17 studies evaluated the effects of photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) on hearing. Research shows that targeted red light therapy may help improve hearing in age-related and noise-induced hearing loss in animal models.

The therapy is non-invasive, with a low-risk profile, and promotes inner-ear cell recovery. While human trials are still limited, early evidence suggests PBMT could support hearing preservation and reduce tinnitus symptoms.

Red light supports natural hearing improvement with NeuroHears

In recent scientific models, targeted red light application has been shown to enhance blood flow in the inner ear, supporting healthier auditory function.

NeuroHears™ uses this same non-invasive red light approach, designed to naturally aid clarity in age-related hearing loss.

Protection & Repair After Noise-Related Hearing Loss

Studies show that targeted red light therapy can improve hearing after noise damage. Participants not only heard better but also showed a significant increase in healthy inner-ear hair cells—the tiny sensors responsible for capturing sound.

Since these cells don’t naturally regrow on their own, this finding is powerful: red light therapy may help the ears repair, protect, and perform better even after years of damage.

Lasting Relief from Tinnitus with Light Therapy

Research shows that red light therapy can significantly reduce the severity of tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Even better—the improvements continued after therapy ended, offering lasting relief instead of temporary fixes.
